BBQ Degustabox

This months Degustabox theme is BBQ, so expect to see lots of mouth watering snacks and drinks. This box has to be one of the best boxes I have had in a while, I loved pretty much everything. If you are new to my blog and are a little unsure about what Degustabox is, its basically a monthly food subscription service. Every month you get a generous sized box full of lots of yummy, food and drinks to try. Sometimes they include new releases! This is a great way of trying different things that you wouldn't usually pick up in your food shops. I have discovered lots of new things this way. Every month is always a surprise too, a great treat the whole family can enjoy.

The Brands included in this months box are ..

Eisberg, Capsicana, Haribo, Spoon, Walkers, Light Bites, Schwartz, Westons Cider, Berrywhite, ENRJ energy juice and Product of the month Original O's.

When I first opened the box I was pretty excited about the new Haribo flavours, one was Berry flavoured Starmix and the other was Ice Cream flavoured Tangfastics. I did give these to the boys, but i'm not going to lie I may have nabbed a few, they are so so good! cant beat a bag of Haribo no matter how old you are (Kids and Grownups love it so). I will definitely be picking up another bag or two soon.

The brand of the month item was Original O's Savoury Cumin and Sesame Nibbles. These are a prime example of discovering new food items you wouldn't usually go for. I didn't think I'd like these as I couldn't imagine enjoying a cumin flavoured snack, but to my surprise they where actually pretty delicious and very moreish. They look like tiny little bagels but have the texture of a cracker.

The Berrywhite drink in organic peach was really yummy and refreshing. I would definitely pick this up again.

The Walkers Pure Butter Shortbread Scottie Dogs where lovely, and the kids liked the cute little dog shapes. I haven't had shortbread in ages and I absolutely love it so I was happy to see these. This brand is known for their amazing shortbreads too.

If you select the Alcohol version of Degustabox you will see the addition of these Weston Ciders. I quite like a cider so I was looking forward to trying these. One flavour was Damson, the other was Rhubarb. Unfortunately they weren't for my taste, I thought I would like the Rhubarb one to be honest, even though I didn't my other half actually really enjoyed it.

I haven't yet tried the Spoon Apple and Peanut granola but I just know I am going to love it. I even really enjoy the simplicity of the packaging, and the fact it matches my kitchen d├ęcor haha. I feel like i'm saving granola for a special occasion ...yes I just said that, omg!

I wasn't overly keen on the Light Bites Mango and Vanilla Yoghurt Chips or their Superfood fruit bar. They are a great healthy snack if you like that kind of thing, but personally I'm not that much of a fan of dried fruit. I feel like they had a bit of a weird texture and taste too. The bar also just tasted of seeds which was quite bland.

Inside the box also included these cooking ingredients from Schwartz and Capsicana. I am waiting to do a dinner using BBQ Pulled Chicken flavour sachet, I think this one is something the family is sure to enjoy. I'm not so sure on the Buffalo Wings one as we don't really eat chicken on the bone..im fussy ya see. The Capsicana Chilli and Coconut cooking sauce seems like something rather different, it isn't something I'd usually pick up but I think it sounds pretty good, so I'm looking forward to trying that out.

If you feel like giving your very own box a go I have an amazing discount code for you get £7 off your first box with the code (VNJG) at checkout. Making your first box just £5.99 instead of £12.99.
