Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

I have really started getting more into my skincare recently, so decided to delve into the brand Kiehl's a little bit more. I have heard such great things about the facial oils (Midnight Recovery and Daily Reviving) so I decided to have a little explore on my recent visit to Selfridges. The lady working there was very helpful, and did a skin test on me to find out my skin type. I was told that I was quite oily so recommended me lots of useful products to help with that.
All I knew was I wanted to try either the Daily Reviving Concentrate or the Midnight Recovery oil...honestly I was ages deciding! but I opted for the night time one and I'm loving it so far.
To go along with that I wanted to try their new Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing oil, because I was curious, love a good cleansing oil at night ..and I thought the packaging was cool - oh dear Zoe!

Although it was quite a whim purchase, I'm glad I picked it up as it's pretty darn good.

Firstly the packaging, I love it. The sleek, royal blue bottle with the gold text looks fabulous in your bathroom. I think its great how it has a pump which gives out the perfect amount of product (you may need about 2 or 3 pumps if you are wearing a quite a bit of makeup).

This product has a wonderful botanical blend which has a light, lavender scent to it- very calming, and it's such a pleasure to use right before bed - along with Evening Primrose Oil which is rich in Omega 6 - Fatty Acids, and Squalane; a planted-derived lipid with a natural affinity for the skin.

The oil itself is so lightweight, I apply this as my second cleanse at night time as I find this to be very hydrating on the skin leaving it soft and glowing. This product is absolutely amazing at melting off any traces of makeup, it makes that chore such a breeze!
After I have pumped the product out into my hand, I will apply this onto dry skin and massage for a good few minutes, while taking in that lovey scent and letting it do it's magic at dissolving away my makeup. Then I add a small amount of water in with it to emulsify the product, and wipe away with a muslin cloth. Voila!
My skin is baby soft, makeup free and glowing.

So what you'll see now is a big blob of waterproof mascara on my hand, and how easily the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery oil completely remove all traces of it.

Quarter of a pump on waterproof mascara
Massaged on to melt any traces of makeup
I used a cotton pad and swiped once !! WOW
I can't believe how easy this product removes makeup, it stunned me from the swatches haha. A little goes a long way with this.

So yes, I do have oily skin but facial oils are sometimes good to help with that so I hear. This certainly hasn't made it worse anyway. It is also sulphate free and mineral oil free.

Next time I'm coming for the Daily Reviving concentrate and Midnight Recovery Eye (Fell in love with my samples)
