April Favourites

For me, this month has been all about skincare. I have been trying a few new products and switching up my routine a little. I am still trying out a few facial oils that I'm liking so far, but haven't been using long enough yet to give a proper opinion on them.
If you follow me on Instagram (@zoelou_) you may also see I have developed quite a problem with buying highlighters...I just feel like I have to try every single one going haha -I need help seriously!

Even though I have many highlighters in my collection, I don't think I have one as blinding as Jouer 'Citrine'. I purchased this once it came back in stock on Cult Beauty as I had heard it's amazing. As soon as I rubbed my finger over the pigment it felt so creamy, then as I looked at the colour pay off on my finger I was literally stunned - If you want a beaming highlight this is the one. I would describe the shade 'citrine' as a pale gold/champagne. It has no chunky glitter just a metallic sheen which is highly pigmented..a little goes a long way.

The Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask has been a favourite of mine for a good while now. I like to self tan quite a bit but never do I use my body self tanner on my face, I'm just so weary of it on there. I will put on a generous amount of this mask and wake up in the morning with the most gorgeous natural looking tan on my face, it also plumps and hydrates the skin while it works. I just think this is an excellent little product and I feel my face looks so much better when I've used it. I did a review on this product a while back HERE.

Another skincare product I have been absolutely loving is the Lancôme Advanced Genifique face serum. One of my blogger friends Hannah from www.hannahlauramay.co.uk posted about it on her Instagram around the time I was looking for a new one. She said how she preferred it to the Estee Lauder ANR which I had before so thought id give it a try. After a few weeks of trying it I can honestly say its amazing. The serum is very lightweight great for even the daytime under makeup. I noticed after just the first day, my skin looked very plump, hydrated and glowing. Thanks Hannah!

Next up is the Morphe Pressed Pigments 'Rodeo Drive' and 'High Class'. This was the first makeup thing I have tried from Morphe and I know people go wild for their eyeshadow palettes. I decided to try one of their pigments in 'High Class' after seeing a few beauty gurus swatching them online I was sitting there shook at the pigment. I am yet to find anything as good! for the price of £6 the quality is unreal. I was raving about it to my sister, and she kindly brought me one in the shade 'Rodeo Drive' for my birthday. The shade 'high class' is a coppery gold shade whereas 'Rodeo drive' is more of a rose gold. Both so beautiful.
I like to apply these with my finger or a flat shader brush patted onto the centre of my eye, and it just gives the most foiled metallic look.

I have always loved Charlotte Tilbury's products, so when the Legendary Brows brow mascara came out I couldn't wait to try it, although.. I was a little sceptical because I wasn't a fan of the Legendary Lashes mascara and that is the only thing from the brand I have really disliked. But as you've guessed, I ended up being so impressed because it made it to my monthly favourites. I love how small the wand is so you can neatly brush through all the brow hairs, while tinting the brow with colour. With this you can really create that supermodel style fluffy brow which stays put all day. Using this over the top of the ABH Dip Brow makes the brows look more natural as it brings out the hairs more.

What products have you been enjoying recently? Have you tried any of my favourites? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for reading,

Love Zoe x
