It's been a while since my last favourites post, mainly because i have been testing out some new products (mainly skincare), which i like to give a good go before i give my thoughts. This favourites post may seem skincare heavy, but that's because i have been struggling with my skin lately. I had my contraceptive implant changed recently, and my face just broke out awfully and really got me down.
So i decided to change up my skincare a bit on products that could help, and i have found some right gems! Hallelujah!
First up is the Pixi Glow Tonic, I have wanted to try this for years! it used to be so hard to get and very high in demand. But luckily its easier to get hold of nowadays, I purchased mine from Marks and Spencers. I thought this would be worth a try because I know anything with Glycolic acid is great for helping with troubled skin and brightening. It also contains Aloe Vera which is very soothing and healing.
Just a few days of sweeping this over my face morning and night I noticed an improvement, my larger spots cleared up fast and I also had these smaller bumps on my cheeks which vanished. All that and my skin looks so much brighter and fresher. I love it and can see why it has a cult status. I will definitely be re-purchasing.
Next is the brand Ole Henriksen, I was having a little chat to one of the lovely ladies at Escentual about skincare, she kindly sent me the Ole Henriksen Grease Relief Facial water to try and I was so impressed. I used this some mornings in-between the pixi glow and it really soothed the skin, and the scent is amazing first thing in the morning - so refreshing and really perks you up. I feel this really helps with excess oils on my face, which makes my makeup last longer!
After saying to the lady at Escentual how much I liked it, and that I had tried the vitamin c serum before and loved it, she said how it was one of her favourite brands, and sent me samples to try the Sheer Transformation Moisturiser and the Night Treatment.
They are fantastic products too, Ole Henriksen isn't a brand of I hear people talk about enough ... I have fallen in love with these. I'm just about to re-purchase the moisturiser. It's so lightweight but very hydrating. So thank you Escentual!
I always love trying out new brow products, I'm all about the brows! I picked up a magazine last month and it had this little sample of Benefit's Gimme Brow. This is a tinted brow gel with the perfect sized brush for application. Usually I used a clear gel after using my ABH dip brow but it still don't have that hair like look if that makes sense haha?! With the Benefit Gimme Brow it's tinted and really helps make the brow look more natural once filled and much fuller. It also lasts all day! I have sadly ran out but desperately need to buy another.
Last but not least is a shout out to the site FalseEyelashes.co.uk, yes an online shop in my favourites. I could spend far too long browsing this site. They have the most amazing range of false lashes I've ever seen, they sell all the brands us U.K people struggle to get our hands on such as Lilly Lashes and House of Lashes. The first ones I purchased where the Lilly Lashes in the style 'Miami' made popular by the gorgeous Kylie Jenner. They are a stunning lash, very full and wispy. I then made a few other orders, buying Peek-a-Boo lash in 'Whip Lash' which are short, full, wispy and have a beautiful curl to them, and Velour Lashes in 'Flash it' which are from their new naked range where they made their lash bands clear giving a nice natural finish. The Velour Lashes in 'Flash it' have been my to-go-to's recently, I like them for everyday an I get so many compliments when I wear them.
False Eyelashes.com also give the best service, no joke! I place an order with free delivery and most the time it came the very next day.
Have you tried any of these products? what products have you been enjoying recently? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for reading,
