La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur

The French Pharmacy brand La Roche-Posay has to be one of my favourite skincare brands of all time. I am a regular user of their Serozinc mist, and their very well known Effaclar Duo skin serum. I think I will be forever re-purchasing those!
But when I got the chance to review their BB cream, I must say I was a little sceptical...and that was because I have never found one BB or CC cream I liked, they never worked with my skin, always looked patchy and even the lightest shades looked orange on my skin and i'm not even really that pale.
So I did kind of give up on trying them, but seen as it was one of my favourite brands it was worth another shot right?

This La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB blur claims to do the following ...
  • Blur the appearance of pores, blemishes and fine lines.
  • Absorb oil.
  • Control shine and protect against humidity with it's blotting paper effect.
  • Active colour match pigments to match your skin
  • Erases imperfections while leaving a radiant, flawless finish.

This is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins, which is great if you suffer from breakouts and dry skin like I can.

I have been testing this for a few weeks now to see how my skin reacts properly to it, and i'm very impressed. This product has a very light, almost whipped cream texture to it and applies easily to the skin. At fist glance of the shade I was like oh no this lightest shade still looks too dark for my skin, but once rubbed in it was perfect ...YAY! it is very much a matte finish and feels very velvety on the skin, almost how it would feel when you add a primer.

Swatched rubbed in to the skin - perfect flawless finish
This has been the only BB cream to ever work for me and I love it, I use this on those low key days, and on makeup days I like to use this under my foundation for extra coverage and a smoother finish for my base. I would also say this gives a light to medium coverage on it's own, but it does really blur imperfections and give the appearance of a more even skin tone.

At the moment you can grab 20% off this at it's definitely one worth picking up!

Have you tried BB creams? Have you tried this La Roche-Posay BB blur? I would love to hear your thoughts.

  5. I've recently fallen in love with La Roche-Posey skin care - don't know what took me so long to try it but I'm about to finish my Clinique cc cream (I think that's the name?!) but this looks like a good one to replace it! Sounds really nice and light, going to have to try it. Thanks for the review :)
