Sephora have been delivering to the UK for a few months now, I have always been tempted but I felt a little un-easy buying from another country, it just usually seems so complicated and I have heard about those nasty surprise customs charges you can be left with too.
Last Wednesday I decided to bite the bullet and make my first ever Sephora purchase. I couldn't believe how straight forward it was actually, The site lets you choose which country you are buying from and then when you add certain products to the basket it tells you if that item is restricted to your country so you can then remove it.
At the end it then tells you how much in pounds it totals to, and it also adds custom charges to it so you aren't left with that surprise customs charge at your door which puts my mind at ease (mine was £21)
If you where to make a Sephora purchase id recommend spending over £75 because delivery goes from £15+ ?(on weight) to a flat rate of £6.
Here is what I picked up..
Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette
Kat Von D - Tattoo Liner - Trooper
Again, I've heard fantastic things about this Kat Von D liquid liner! Its supposed to be super black and not budge.. I also like the look of the applicator, it looks like it will give a neat and accurate line.
I'm pretty fussy with liners because most I've tried either transfer on top of my lids or run down my face, the only one I can get on with so far is this Guerlain one i'm using at the moment.
Becca - Shimmering Skin Perfector - Opal
I know this is available here in the UK, and I only wanted to buy things from Sephora that I couldn't get my hands on here - but the shade Opal has been out of stock for ever!!! I got impatient and added this to my order.
I'm addicted to highlighter and this is just so special looking, I am so excited to use this pearl/champagne colour its stunning!
Becca - Shimmering Skin Perfector - Limited Edition Jaclyn Hill - Champagne Pop
Saving the best till last, and THIS is what the main purpose of my order was.. Only available in the U.S and I had to have it. Yep I know did I really need 2 Becca highlighters? ...erm yes I did come to think of it haha - they are both pretty different shades and completely beautiful I really cant get over it, the texture is like no highlighter I've ever felt.. they feel so smooth and buttery!
This Limited Edition one was designed with the well known beauty guru, and queen of the highlight Jaclyn Hill, You just know its going to be a good'un!
The packaging has a gorgeous rose gold with little bubbles embossed on it -to look like champagne maybe? like what they did there..
Champagne pop is a beautiful champagne with a slight rose gold-ness to it, It's unlike any other highlighter shade I own.
My delivery was expected Friday and I received it today so 5 days early, It only took 5 days from the U.S to the U.K. Everything was in perfect condition when it arrived- I was worried, as it travelled so far something may have broke knowing my luck.
I loved how you could follow your parcels journey right to your door with the DHL courier too, it was pretty cool to see it going to different places in the U.S then making its way to the U.K... Amazing Delivery and service.
If you would like to see any separate reviews on these products let me know.
Have you ever ordered from Sephora? Have you tried any of these products before? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for reading,
