July Favourites

This months favourites are very much summer orientated, I just love summer and all of the new beauty releases that come with it.
Although the weather in the UK hasn't been too kind at the moment, I fully intend on pretending it is and getting some good use out of my summer products.
I was lucky enough to get a holiday to Cyprus a few weeks back, it was gorgeous, a week wasn't long enough to be honest - I just really miss the sunshine. I'm forever dreaming of sitting on a golden beach drinking coconut water fresh from the coconut, hey' i'm easy to please! haha - I think I was born to live in a hot country.

Here are the few products I have been loving in July ....

Clarins - Pure Melt Cleasing Gel
A few weeks back I ran out of my usual cleanser and fancied trying something a bit different, It was a toss up between Clinique Take the Day off cleansing balm or this Clarins one- id heard great things about both. I decided to try the cleansing gel on a whim, and I love it.
This Cleansing gel does exactly what it says, it literally melts away your makeup..even the gool ol' sturdy waterproof stuff!
It is a pleasure to use, and once I wash it off my skin is amazingly soft and fresh looking. As soon as it looks close to finishing I will certainly be purchasing another. If you haven't tried this yet I really recommend.

£20.50

1001 Remedies -  Purair & Goodnight Sleep Relaxing Balm
I have always been into my aromatherapy and love the smell of essential oils that can help relax and calm you. There is nothing better, especially if you are feeling a bit under the weather - last week I felt I was coming down with a cold, I was feeling a bit bunged up and these two products from 1001 Remedies really helped.. I don't think this is what they are designed for but after spritzing the purair I immediately felt less blocked up and it really helped me breathe better for a better nights sleep. I think it helps a cold because it contains eucalyptus oil, mint oils and lavender.

I used a few rubs of the Goodnight balm on my pulse points before my flight to Cyprus and when I caught a whiff of the essential oils it automatically made me feel more fresh (although I definitely wasn't) and relaxed, this is perfect if you get a little anxious like me.

Purair £24.00 - Goodnight Sleep Relax Balm £29.00

Estee Lauder - Bronze Goddess Perfume
I bought this before my holiday because I like having a new perfume to take so whenever I smell that smell again it will remind me of my time away, certain scents trigger memories.
I heard brilliant things about this, and it always seemed very popular so I decided to try a tester and then I realised why..
It's gorgeous and really does smell like summer holidays in a bottle! the scent just makes me so happy, i'm terrible at describing scents but it smells so fresh and coconutty. It also lasts ages, I have been using this almost every day for the last month and its barely gone down. I know this only comes out for summer so I may have to get another bottle soon so i'm not without it.

(Mine is last years bottle as I got it from a shopping outlet, I think they are different every year.)
£47.00 100ml

La Roche - Posay - Anthelios XL tinted fluid
I won this in a giveaway from the lovely people at escentual.com just before my holiday, it couldn't have came at a better time.
I used this on my face all holiday and I was so impressed, it was light, tinted for slight coverage and didn't break me out once.
This is spf 50+  and I always like to use a high spf for my face to protect from sun damage, premature ageing and drying out my skin.

£16.50

Charlotte Tilbury - Norman Parkinson - Colour of Youth, Healthy Happy lip & Cheek Glow
I love Charlotte tilbury, who doesn't!? and the Norman Parkinson collection is to die for, I had to pick up something even if it is crazy pricey..Beauty hoarder problems.
The packaging is gorgeous as always, a rose gold compact with a vintage style picture on top. inside is a nice little mirror and the wonderful product itself.
I'm not usually one for cream products but I have been getting so much use out of this, it really does give the look of youth to your face - when you haven't been feeling so great it really perks and lifts your complexion in a magical kinda way.
This also looks beautiful on the lips!

£40.00

  1. I have both Clarins cleansing gel and Take the day off balm. I use the balm first then the gel after. They work great as a cleansing duo if you're looking for one.
