Apologies for the lack of posts recently, I have had quite a bit going on the last couple of weeks, I wasn't very well for a while, my Grandad sadly passed away and I have been painting/Decorating my whole house which was a compete mission- so unfortunately my blog had to take a back seat for a few weeks hence the March and April favourites combined.
So here is what I have been really enjoying in March and April..
Nars - Sheer Glow Foundation
Usually nothing compares to my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, but recently my skin has become quiet dry and I felt that the Estee Lauder foundation kind of clung to dry patches making it look worse.
I bought the Nars Sheer Glow foundation a while ago, and wasn't overly struck. But I decided to give it another chance and I fell completely in love! the finish looks flawless and totally disguised any dry patches, plus the colour match is spot on.
Neal & Wolf - Silk Blow Dry Balm
It takes a lot for hair care items to impress me as much as this! Its fantastic at smoothing down any fly away, frizzy hair and really tames it. The problem I have with my hair is that after straightening any bit of moisture in the air it will frizz up again gradually - it's flipping annoying!
This Neal & Wolf Silk Blow Dry Balm stops that from happening. I use a small amount on damp hair, then start to blow dry and follow by straightening. After my hair is much more smoother than usual, it stays frizz free and smells gorgeous!
Urban Decay - Naked Skin Concealer (Light/Warm)
Probably thee best under eye brightening concealer I have ever tried! I love everything about it - It brightens amazingly, doesn't crease, it's not cakey, easy to blend out.. and the packaging is lovely along with a nice sized doe foot applicator.
If you haven't tried this yet and fancy a great brightening concealer I really recommend.
DIY Nails - Nail Decals
I absolutely adore using these nail decals, they turn any basic manicure to something rather special in seconds.
Micro Cell 2000 - Nail Repair (Light & White)
I was sent this to test out a good few weeks back, and I'm always on the look out for a good nail treatment. My nails always seem to break and peel at a certain length, and they where just never that strong.
I have been using OPI nail envy to help, I found that one good at growing my nails but not so much strengthening them. But this Micro Cell 2000 one is on another level! I like it that much I'm close to finishing the while bottle. I have been using this constantly for 5 weeks now and the results are brilliant.
My nails have never been so strong and long, every time I catch my nail awkwardly I'm like 'oh no that's got to have broken it!' I look and the nail is still intact - it surprises me every time.
I have recommended this to so many people already who have complained about their nails to me.
These are one of those products that have quite the hype around them on social media, and I obviously gave in to it.
Cocowhite is a natural form of teeth whitening by using a method called oil pulling using coconut oil. You squeeze a sachet in your mouth, swirl around for 15 minutes, spit it out then brush. This is supposed to draw out any bacteria from your teeth and gums, giving you better oral hygiene and whiter teeth over the 14 day cycle provided.
I found that when I started using this it was hard to swirl around for 15 minutes but you get used to it and the weird texture. Since using this my teeth do look quite a bit whiter but nothing too drastic.. my gums and mouth do feel much healthier and cleaner.
What I will say is personally I don't think I would need to buy another box, after seeing the only 2 ingredients is coconut oil and flavouring. I can just use a jar of coconut oil from my kitchen cupboard for £15 cheaper.
Victoria Beckham for Nails Inc - Judo Red & Bamboo White
I had been lusting over this set from Nails Inc for absolutely ages, I cant decide if the packaging drew me in or the colours ?! haha.. The one thing that put me off for so long was the ridiculous price! £25 a bottle ..eh!
I got the set as it was £45 for both colours saving £5 if I bought separate, and I knew I would have to have both eventually.
The colours are gorgeous and so glossy on - I added this to my favourites because these colours are all I have been wearing recently, I do love them..BUT.. I still cant say I think they are worth that price tag as they don't last as long on the nail as I had hoped for, a maximum of 2 days before a chip- My OPI nail polishes last a few days longer and are half the price.
What have you been enjoying recently? Have you tried any of my favourites?
Thanks for reading,
