March Birchbox Feat Habitat

This months Birchbox comes wonderfully packaged in this lovely eye catching, colourful box! probably my favourite design yet!
Birchbox have collaborated with the lifestyle and homeware gurus at Habitat this month, so their box is themed around 'DO try this at home' - they have also included an exclusive offer for subscribers so they can get a very generous 20% off Habitat's new SS15 Collection.

So here is what you all came here for... what is inside the March Birchbox?!

Straight off the bat, it's a good box but I wasn't as impressed with it compared to last months..but that was going to be hard to beat, just because I did say that it was the best box I had ever gotten ( Review Here ).
There where two things in this box that stuck out for me, and that was the Benefit Roller Lash mascara and the Phillip Kingsley Smooth Cream.

The contents..

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara (sample size)
I already own 3 samples of this and the full size just because I absolutely love it! it was even in last months monthly favourites, so I was more than happy to get this one in my box. Subscribers got to make a choice out of 3 Benefit mascaras that they would like to get in their box, the new Roller Lash, They're Real or Bad Gal Lash. Out of all 3 Roller Lash is my personal favourite! it gives the most amazing length and curl.

Full Size £19.50

Catherine Malandrino - Style de Paris (perfume sample)
Birchbox don't usually include perfume samples too much, which is a good thing for me because i'm not to keen on getting them, that's why I cancelled another beauty box I was getting a while back because every month I was getting 2 perfume samples a time. I think it's because I am really fussy with fragrances but the scent of this one is actually rather nice, not sure if I would go out and buy it but I will use the sample up happily.

Full Size £50

Phillip Kingsley - Smooth Cream - 20ml
I do love Phillip Kingsley hair products so I was happy to see something else to try from the brand. I like how Birchbox have been adding some Phillip Kingsley products to previous boxes, just because they don't come cheap so you can try it to see if it works for you before you invest!
I have used this smooth cream twice so far and I'm really impressed, after washing my hair its usually a frizzy mess when I start to dry it, but after applying this to damp hair it is a lot more smoother and styles way easier...it smells lovely too.

Full Size £18

TanOrganic - Self Tanning Oil -25ml
I am yet to try this still but it sounds pretty interesting, I have never tried a self tanner in the form of an oil before. But then again it does say it is the worlds first tanning oil so that's probally why ?! duh haha!
This is supposed to moisturise the skin while giving it a healthy glow, so I may have to give this a go once my other tan I have on fades. Its quite a small sample so i'm not so sure it will cover the whole body either.

Full Size £24.99

Janjira - Pomegranate and Acai Facial Scrub Cleanser - 10ml
This reminds me of the Benefit skincare face scrub a bit, the texture and scent is pretty similar! I have only used it once but my skin did feel soft and look a lot brighter afterwards.
This scrub contains Vitamin E and fruit extracts which makes for a lovely gentle exfoliation to reveal brighter new glowing skin.

Full Size £24

Lifestyle Extra's

A Perfect Heritage - by Penny Vincenzi ( Chapter Sample ) & Birchbox and Habitat Exclusive Notebook
These are cute little extras that are included in this months box, the book sample is a good idea to introduce you into a book you may have not thought about trying before and the little red note book is handy for those shopping lists so it fits neatly in your pocket.

What do you think of this months Birchbox? Have you tried any of these samples? I would love to hear your thoughts.

*P/R Sample

Thanks for reading,

Love Zoe x

I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with this box, but I'm not that bothered by it either if that makes sense? Like I'd love the mascara but I wouldn't really be bothered or use anything else so I wouldn't want to pay for the box. I'm trying to stop buying things I don't need though so that probably influences me!

  2. I was really disappointed with this month's box. The whole Habitat partnership didn't really work in my opinion. I loved the design of the box and I always love a Benefit sample, but that's about it. Very tempted to move to My Little Box but I think next month will be a lot better.
