February Favourites

The favourites post is a teeny bit late, apologies but better late then never I guess. A few of my favourites from last month have been products I have bought, tried and not really liked...what a turn around that they have now made it to this post!

Urban Decay - Naked 3
I got this ages ago, when it first came out! I used it a few times and decided it wasn't for me so stopped using it then went back to using my favourite Naked 1. I wasn't keen because it has more pink hues to it and I didn't think they looked that flattering on me. But come February I decided to try it again and I have completely fell in love and found a few combinations in the palette that really work for me - the combo Strange, Limit, Liar in the crease then Factory on the outer v is just perfect!
Isn't it odd how you can go from really not liking something to totally loving it.

£38

Billion Dollar Brows - Brow Duo Pencil
Yet another great product from an amazing company. Before I get into the mini review on the brow pencil, I have to say what a lovely bunch of people work at BDB, they are so passionate about their product and they interact with their customers and bloggers brilliantly on social media, I have lost count the amount of times they have had me laughing over twitter. For the whole 5 years I have been blogging I don't think I have ever come across a nicer brand, top quality products from a brand you can really trust.
Enough of the slush and to why I really love this Brow Duo Pencil, this little piece of magic makes every day a good brow day!
when I have made a little mistake with filling in the brows I will use the concealer end, then get a tiny brush to blend it all in and sharpen up the lines a bit -  it works wonders for neatening up your brows. The other end is a matte highlight which I add to my arch to brighten everything up, it's a fabulous product and one everyone needs in their makeup bag.

£20

LiLash - Eyelash Serum
I have always been a little sceptical about products that claim to promote growth, I was asked a while back if I wanted to try some bits from LiLash/LiBrow, and I thought I would give it a go to see if there is something that actually works. I have tried bits from a few brands that make these claims and I didn't see much of a result, my lashes are pretty short so something that could lengthen them over time sounds like a dream!
I can honestly say since using this for the past 4 weeks I have noticed a difference in my lashes and I wasn't expecting it at all, they are noticeably longer and thicker, I wont go into to much detail as I shall be doing a full review later on.

From £53

MAC - Lipstick in Kinda Sexy
This was another one of those products I wasn't keen on when I bought it, but then it's the only shade I have been wearing recently...I love it now. It is a matte peach shade which seems to really brighten my complexion when I wear it, it also makes my pout look a lot fuller. I have also heard it is a good dupe to the sold out Oxblood shade from the new MAC Toledo collection, so if you wanted that and can't get it Kinda Sexy is your best option.

£15.50

Vita Coco - Coconut Oil
Oh boy I have been living off the stuff! I cook with it, add it to porridge and rub it in my skin.. I am pretty obsessed with all things coconut, if something is labelled coconut I have to have it haha! I know you can add coconut oil to your hair too, I tried it and it was a bloody awful experience..my hair went all stiff and took ages to wash out, I don't know If I did something wrong there?
This Vita Coco coconut oil is brilliant because its Raw Extra Virgin and Coldpressed so it's way more natural and better for you as it's higher in antioxidants.

£5.99

Have you tried any of these products? What things where you loving last month? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for reading,

Love Zoe x

  4. It's good to hear you have a new found discovery for your Naked 3 palette, I personally love it. I've also been getting into coconut oil recently, but will have to try the Vita Coco version soon. You should definitely do some healthy cooking posts soon, I'd love some inspiration x

  5. I was exactly like you with Naked 3! I loved the look of shadows in the pan but just not on me & I left it in my palette drawer for months unloved & in Jan/Feb I started to use it again & found 2 or 3 different combinations that I really love! That lash serum sounds amazing! xx

  8. I STILL need one of the Naked palettes, I keep putting it off and off! Also slightly jealous you got the coconut stuff, I really wanted to try it in my Birchbox but never got it, sigh. Also lovely peachy lipstick, I love peachy tones on others but not myself! Might have a look at Kinda Sexy next time I'm in store and see how it looks in person! xx

  9. I'm loving Naked 3 too! I've been using a lot of the pinky gold shade at the moment. That MAC lipstick looks so pretty I definitely need to invest in a nude shade from them
