January Favourites

Last month I re-discovered quite a few old favourites, I think it was due to going into my beauty stash and using up more things till I bought more - for a change!.

Here are the gems that made it into my January favourites..

Teapigs - Green Tea with Mint
I feel slightly random adding tea bags into my monthly favourites, but I have been obsessed with these Teapigs ones! I have tried a few peppermint teas but this one is just un-beatable.
I have one every morning, afternoon and sometimes evening, these are so nice and refreshing.
I'm on a health journey at the moment so I  have been trying to stay away from coffee and 'normal' tea's,  so this and water is all I've been drinking for a month which is amazing for me as I was quite the coffee addict.

Benefit - NEW Roller Lash Mascara
I have only owned this mascara for around 3-4 days and I was just so amazed at how well it worked for me, it was straight in the favourites! impressive eh!..
This came as a sample with this months Elle magazine (pictured), it's not even hit the shelves yet - I think its released at the end of February, so I may have to go and get another copy of Elle mag to last me till then.
I wasn't a fan of the very popular They're Real mascara what-so-ever, I found it smuged and transferred above my eyelids. This one on the other hand really grabs every lash making them super long and curled...so impressed with this, if you fancy trying it I suggest getting Elle magazine ASAP!.

Maybelline - The Eraser Concealer
I bought this after hearing so many people rave about it, I decided to give it a go after I ran out of my current concealer. This one is more to brighten the under-eye area and cover redness, and it's pretty darn good for a cheaper concealer. It really does brighten, it doesn't crease or cake up and the applicator makes applying it so much easier. This one pictured is now empty but I will be picking up another one.

Frank - Body Balm
I am quite the fan of all the Frank scrubs so when I spotted they do a body balm I just had to get my hands on it. It really didn't disappoint! it smells amazing just like the original scented scrub.. if you've tried it? - if not it's a coffee/orange scent that I think is just delicious.
I use this after using the Frank scrub twice a week. With this a little goes a long way, it comes out as a balm but turns slightly oily once you start to rub it in. It has made my skin even smother than the scrub alone would, which I didn't think would be possible.
I will be doing a full review on this soon so I wont go into to much detail right now.

MAC - Melba Blush (matte)
I own a lot of blush but this is pretty much all I have been wearing right now, this was one of those old discoveries - Melba was my first ever MAC blush and probably my favourite. I love how it goes with pretty much all makeup looks, and really perks up my complexion on these cold dreary days.

Bumble and Bumble - Sunday Shampoo
This was also a re-discovery, I wasn't keen at first but now i'm loving it. I had this bad product build up in my hair a few weeks back and no matter how much I washed it my hair still felt like I had something in it. Then I remembered I had the Sunday Shampoo and it completely got rid of all build up while leaving my hair soft and very shiny.
You can only use this once a week though a it is very stripping, I wouldn't recommend it if you colour your hair a lot either as It could take colour out slightly...I guess that's why Bumble and Bumble named it Sunday Shampoo.

Have you tried any of these products? What are you January favourites? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for reading,

Love Zoe x

  1. I always avoided the Eraser concealer because the sponge applicator seemed really unhygenic, but with the amount of hype around it I think I'm going to have to give it a go! I was also planning on giving the Roller Lash a miss because the wand reminded me of They're Real and I wasn't a fan, but everybody's been going nuts over it so I think it's definitely time I went to grab my copy of Elle.

    Great post, thanks!

  2. I'm totally with you on the Benefit Roller Lash. I hated They're Real (mascara and eyeliner), despite all the love for it by others. I am getting on really well with Roller Lash though!
