Trilogy Rosehip Oil - Review

To be completely honest with you, I have never really used a facial oil in my skincare routine, just because I always thought oily products on my oily skin would be a complete nightmare. But word on the street is oil based products can in-fact help us oily skinned people.
If you follow me on twitter you will have seen me complaining about feeling ill recently, I had a cold one week then was sick the next..it was just my luck really.
To cut a long story short, being ill the past two weeks took its toll on my skin, it was dry from too much tissue rubbing on the ol' nose (my other half decided it would be cool to buy me cheap Spiderman tissues...may as well have used a nice sheet of sandpaper), it also looked really dull and pretty dehydrated - that's when I whipped out the Trilogy Rosehip oil every night before bed.

Now let me tell ya this little beaut was a game changer!.

I decided that I needed something that was going to be nourishing, hydrating and give me that much needed radiance; this did just that.
The Trilogy rosehip oil is made with certified organic golden seed oil and has a minimum of 80% essential fatty acid (omega 3 and 6) as well as fatty acid omega 9 content, so I knew this just had to do the trick.

I applied this after cleansing and toning before bed, all I did was squeeze 2-3 drops out of the nifty pipette onto my finger tips, then gently massage into my face and neck till it all sunk in. It's so lightweight, and not greasy what-so-ever, it also has no scent so I think this would appeal to a lot of people.

I didn't apply any other serum or moisturiser as this felt enough, then when I woke up in the morning my skin was so much plumper and more alive..what a product! - it even helped a ton with my dry nose. My makeup sits so much better on my skin since using this as it's just so much softer and a lot more hydrated.

This oil isn't just for the face either, it can be used all over the body. It also claims to help with the appearance of scars and stretch marks; but like most skincare products I'll only notice this with continued use - I have unfortunately collected a few stretch marks and a nice C-section scar all thanks to having babies so I'll be chuffed if it works in that way.
I have also been using this on my elbows every now and again as I have always suffered with dry skin there and it really helps with that too.

This is going to be a winter must have I can see it now!.

The Trilogy Rosehip Oil is available from John Lewis and Debenhams £11.00 20ml - £28.50 45ml

  2. Your little Spider-Man tissue story made me smile. :) I have heard many good things about this oil but have never tried it. I wasn't very keen on the idea of putting oil on my face either... Until I bought Sarah Chapman overnight facial. It's amazing and I'm now loving oils. Will keep this one in mind once my overnight facial ends, as it's much cheaper and sounds just as good. X

ahh, I love oils for the skin, jojoba oil helped my skin almost overnight. I've never tried rosehip, but I have a scar through my eyebrow, so I might consider adding this to my routine - if it could fade my scar and hydrate my skin that'd be amazing!

  9. I reviewed this Rosehip oil on my blog too, it's a good one! I usually apply it after my night moisturizer for an hydration boost. I tried Trilogy day & night creams as well and they were really good.
