As October is Breast Cancer Awareness month Birchbox have decided to partner with Coppafeel! and bring us a our monthly boxes, with a pretty pink theme, that they have titled "work it". Everything in this box is going to help you get motivated and help you tackle whatever your days will bring - they have included a cute lipstick pen and a little planner, that you can tick off everyday to help with that motivation you may need - such as swapping a croissant for a healthier breakfast and making personal goals...it's such a nifty idea and gives this box that extra feel-good factor.
This post is purely on first impressions as I have not tried any of these apart from the Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm as I already own this - it was a welcome addition though!.
Inside my October Birch box I received..
KMS California - HAIR PLAY Dry Wax - 75ml
I have heard about KMS California products for a long while now, and it's pretty good I hear.
It was just one of those brands I never got round to trying so I was happy when I received this in my box.
This is one of those hair sprays which give's you that sought after un-done, tousled hair look...which I love but can never achieve; it usually looks like I'm channelling Russell Brand or Tracey Beaker - either way its a complete fail so KMS I hope you work!.
Full size - £15
Balance Me - Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm - 40ml
I apply this to dry skin after I have taken my makeup off, and massage it in. Once I wash it off my skin is just glowing! I just love it .
Full size - £20
Meaningful Beauty - Glowing Serum - 8ml
I have not heard of this brand before, but I'm all for trying new skin serums - especially ones that claim to brighten the complexion.
This serum also has anti-ageing qualities and was created by Dr. Sebagh and Cindy Crawford. You are supposed to use this in the mornings before a moisturiser, so I'm looking forward to giving this a shot to see if it makes me look more awake on those early wakeup-call-days from the kids.
Full size - £30.95
Shaveworks - The Cool Fix
This is quite an intriguing product, as I've never seen anything like this on the market before. The Shaveworks Cool Fix is a cooling, blue gel that's supposed to treat ingrowing hairs, razor burn, and redness.
Sometimes I get some irritation and redness after shaving so it will be interesting to see how it works and feels afterwards. It does smell really nice and refreshing.
Full Size £11
Pixi by Petra - Shea Butter Lip Balm
I was pretty excited to see something from Pixi (full size too) in this months box, this is another brand I have always wanted to give a go - it being a lip balm too was a bonus as I'm a sucker for a good lip balm.
This balm gives a gorgeous rose tint to the lips. The shade I received was Ripe Raspberry, I can see myself reaching for this quite a bit when I'm in a hurry, and fancy a quick wash of colour (which is more often than not).
It feels lovely, its so moisturising, and smells like vanilla..I'm completely loving it!
The Cute Little Lifestyle Extra - Birchbox Lipstick Pen
How cute and girly is this pen! I can see this being my new blogging companion haha. Not forgetting the pretty, little pink bag that Birchbox included in this months box...the perfect sized makeup bag for your handbag.
If in doubt get checked out.. these simple steps could save your life..
