Flamingo Candles - Applecurrant Crumble

As soon as autumn arrives, the candles come out in full force...and I know I'm not the only one - I get a candle addiction around the same time every year haha.
I love nothing more than snuggling up under a blanket, with a good book, mug of hot chocolate, and a delicious smelling candle. Its just the perfect way to end a night, as it helps relax and unwind me before I try and catch some Zzz's.
The candle I have been using and really enjoying at the moment is this one by Flamingo Candles, in the scent Applecurrant Crumble -  the scent couldn't be more accurate to be honest with you!

The Applecurrant Crumble is part of Flamingo Candles Autumn/Winter collection and has the most yummy, buttery biscuit (really wanted to say base then) scent along with notes of raisin, apple puree, brown sugar, rich plum and lemon peel. Yes it smells as edible as it sounds! my other half spotted it on the side table when it arrived, he gave it a quick whiff and just went " wow that smells delicious". This scent reminds me slightly of the Yankee Candle in Christmas Cookie.

So say you go shopping for a candle, you find one that smells amazing, buy it, then go home to burn it. ok why cant I smell it now? - this usually happens to me when I get a candle in the cheaper price range...and this is why I have been loving Flamingo Candles, the quality of these are just brilliant for the price.

Flamingo Candles are all handmade and organic - they also include cotton wicks for easy burning, and soy wax which will make your candle burn evenly. They do not give off any horrible black smoke while being burnt, and they should last longer too, which gives you even more bang for your buck.
Once I lit my Flamingo Candle it wasn't long till the scent wafted through the whole of the room, it smelt like I had just baked a fresh apple pie or something, I'm really impressed with how much scent this little candle kicks off.

It's great how simple yet stylish looking these candles are. They come in a solid glass, square jar with a black screw top lid, to keep those lovely scents locked in. Then on the front of the candle you have no fussy text or pictures on show - just a nice little Perspex flamingo to let the colour of the candle do the talking. Applecurrant Crumble is a lovely pale, mint green shade and would fit in anywhere within in my home.

I'm so impressed with these candles I'm thinking of buying a few Christmas sets for family, Flamingo Candles seem to have something for everyone tastes, from candy sweetness (Pear Drops) to elegant and fresh ( Earle Grey and Cucumber ). Just take a look for yourself.

  5. I think that's pretty affordable for a high quality candle, there's nothing better than a scented candle that actually gives off a fragrance in the entire room. Need to check these out as I'm gradually burning through all my current candles! x
