Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipsticks

Charlotte Tilbury is becoming more and more popular recently, and rightly so! If you are a regular reader you'll know I'm quite the fan myself; I reviewed the Filmstar Bronze and Glow and The Nude Kate Lipstick combo a few weeks back.
What's not to love - the rose gold packaging is completely stunning and like nothing else I've ever seen, the quality is amazing, and her makeup just has this way of making you feel so special...even if its just a quick swipe of one lipstick!.

When I spotted her latest release of the Matte Revolution lipsticks I knew I had to get in on some of the action, I'm a sucker for a matte lip and with it being Charlotte Tilbury too, I knew it just had to be a winning combo.
I decided for a while on what shades I wanted out of the ten on offer, after seeing them all online - Glastonberry (a rich deep plum shade) caught my eye first, but I kept putting it off thinking it was a bit too daring for me. I thought my best bet was to visit Selfridges and pop to the Charlotte Tilbury counter to see what takes my fancy.
I did just that, and guess what? the one shade I knew I wanted, Glastonberry was sold out..just my luck! - I had a look and a swatch of the others, they are all pretty gorgeous to be honest but I walked away with Amazing Grace (vintage rose shade) and Lost Cherry (bright fuchsia/red ).

Glastonberry being sold out made me want it even more so I went to her website and got it there ..horray!

So there is my little story for ya, now on to the good stuff..

Ahh I cant get enough of the rose gold-ness of it all.. the lipsticks come packaged in her signature burgundy box with the rose gold accents, then the lipstick itself has the stunning rose gold casing with ridged edges to give it that glamorous vintage look. They also have a nice weight to them and that satisfying lid click I know you all love.
On top of the lids they have the CT engraved which just adds to the glamour of it all, and at the bottom of the lipstick you have the shade names.

Matte lipsticks are known to have that drying effect most of the time, but not these! - these Matte Revolution lipsticks are like no other. Firstly you will notice the unique squared off lipstick bullet
which makes the application so much easier and precise, Getting at that cupids bow is so much easier.

Then once you apply it you will see how easily it glides on the lip, no dragging and none of that drying feeling - its seriously a perfect matte formula that feels very comfortable.
The finish isn't like your usual flat matte colour either it has this ever so slight glow to it that gives your lips a more plumper, juicer look than they normally would.
You can dab these shades on the lip to just give them a slight tint or go all out and build it up for a more intense colour.

Now on to what each shade looks like on..

Amazing Grace
This is a Vintage rose shade and I find this the most every day appropriate shade and most easy to wear. Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh was also spotted wearing this shade on her Instagram.

Lost Cherry

This is a really striking bright fuchsia/ red shade, I didn't think this would be one I'd go for in the collection but when I tried it on I fell in love.

Glastonberry

This is a deep blackcurrant shade, I totally love these sort of colours for this time of year..i just need to try and be brave and wear it - I do think it's a rather beautiful colour though.

The wear time of these are brilliant too, they last absolutely ages then when they do fade they leave a lovely even tint to the lips, I couldn't recommend these lipsticks enough - or Charlotte Tilbury as a brand to be honest, she can do no wrong in my eyes.

Have you tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury ? What shades take your fancy?

Thanks for reading,

Love Zoe x
