Charlotte Tilbury is a name you will be seeing every where at the moment, and I have become quite the fan of her gorgeous packaging and the quality makeup.
I did a review of the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick and Lip Cheat here, never does her packaging fail to please.
I ordered this Filmstar Bronze & Glow along with the Powder and Sculpt bruh from her website after lusting over it for absolutely ages. When my order came, it was beautifully packaged in a box with a CT sticker closing it, once opened its protected in her signature burgundy coloured tissue paper and an envelope with your receipt inside - its probably the most special looking parcel I've ever had!
Once you get over how well Charlotte Tilbury presents her online orders, its on to the real deal..
The Filmstar Bronze & Glow, comes in a gorgeous looking burgundy box with rose gold accents...I have taken my time to try and photograph the packaging in all its glory.
Now if that's not beautiful I don't know what is!.
Each end of the box slides off, then you flip open the rest of it to reveal the stunning rose gold art deco casing..when I first opened this I was in complete awe - can you blame me really?.
Inside the gorgeous casing is a large mirror and two shades, the darker one labelled Sculpt and the other one Highlight, along with a pretty sunburst effect embossed in both the powders.
I usually opt for matte bronzers to contour with such as Nars Laguna or Benefit Hoola, any thing with even the slightest bit shimmer would instantly be a no-no..until now.
The Sculpt shade which would be used to contour with, is a lot more of a subtle bronze to what I usually go for, its not orange toned nor will it look muddy either - it's just perfect really. It also contains a small amount of shimmer - now I wasn't sure at first how this could work for a contour but It works amazingly well.
It really sculpts your cheek-bones and its not sparkly what-so-ever once its applied, it just gives this gorgeous bronze glow that even J-Lo would be jealous of! - this along with the most amazing highlight you'll ever see is a match made in heaven.
The beautiful golden highlight is by no means subtle, but gives off the most stunning glow to the top of your cheekbones -heck, if I'm going all out I'll even add it to my brow bone, cupids bow!.
In both pictures above I am wearing the sculpt shade in the hollows of my cheeks and round to my forehead and jawline, then I have the highlight on my cheek-bones, brow-bone and cupids bow.
Both shades are buttery soft and so easy to blend, and although this is quite a pricey product it's not one I would use everyday, just because the highlight is so pow - so I know its going to last me a good while. Anyway; its always nice to have that luxury beauty item for special occasions isn't it?.Plus it looks so beautiful out on the dressing table.
Any excuse Zoe!
