Too Faced - Chocolate Bar Palette

Oh boy is this one delicious looking eye shadow palette, and one I've had my eye on for ages!
I never decided to take the plunge till now because it was the question of..do I need another neutral eye shadow palette after owning all three of the Urban Decay Naked's?
Don't be silly course I do, #beautybloggerproblems..(story of my life).

The design and the names of the eye shadows, such as Crème Brulee and Black Forest Truffle sold me straight away, its literally Willy Wonka heaven.

Those eye shadow names just make me crave a box of chocolates!
The Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette consists of 16 eye shadows ranging from the richest chocolate brown to the sweetest candy pink, you've also got your mixtures of shimmer, mattes and highlighter shades in there too. All encased in a new slimmer sized, magnetised  tin which is very sturdy may I add; and guess what every single eye shadow has the most amazing white chocolate scent! squee! this is because they are all made with 100% natural cocoa powder.

Now lets rip neatly open the wrapper..

Beautiful isn't it?

As you can see from the above photo the names of the shades are not printed on the tin itself, which is my only gripe really, I just like to see what colours I'm picking up without having to keep looking at the little clear overlay it came with.
Inside the palette is a huge wide mirror which is so handy along with the words "Chocolate Bar" in gold beneath it to give it that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory feel.

Now onto the important part, the eye shadows.

The colour pay off on these are brilliant, apart from White Chocolate id say. They are also buttery soft texture wise and last so well on your lids, I experienced hardly any fall out on these too.

In this review I shall also show you if any of the shades compare to any ones out of the three Urban Decay naked palettes. This will hopefully help those of you to decide if this palette is for you.. if you already own the UD ones that is.

Right hand side of the palette
TOP ROW - Gilded Ganache, White Chocolate
MIDDLE ROW - Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet
BOTTOM ROW - Hazelnut, Crème Brulee, Haute Chocolate
L-R Gilded Ganache, White Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet, Hazelnut, Crème Brulee, Haute Chocolate.

Gilded Ganache - Is a lovely cool toned dark brown with some fine gold glitter running through it.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? Darkhorse from Naked 1, although Darkhorse is a tad darker and the gold glitter is a lot more prominent.

White Chocolate - This is a matte White Chocolate coloured shadow (the names are so fitting in this palette) its lovely and soft but this one don't give off much colour as its so pale, but it does make a great base for the rest of your eye looks and that's how I use this.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? Strange from Naked 3, Strange is slightly more pink toned.

Salted Caramel - Is a matte shade and an ever-so-slightly orangey brown toned one.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Marzipan - Is a stunning shimmery gold/pink, I love this one, it has a beautifully soft texture and gives a wonderful glowy awake look to your eyes.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Semi-Sweet - A rich warm toned matte brown.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Hazelnut - Ahh this one is stunning! its a shimmery warm toned brown with a hint of bronze to it.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Crème Brulee -  A gorgeous shimmery bronze gold shade with brilliant colour pay off.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? Half Baked from Naked 1&2 its a pretty close call on these.

Haute Chocolate - Is a warm shimmery golden chocolate brown.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Left hand side of the palette
TOP ROW - Milk Chocolate, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge
MIDDLE ROW - Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, Amaretto
BOTTOM ROW - Cherry Cordial, Champagne Truffle
L-R Milk Chocolate, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge, Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, Amaretto, Cherry Cordial, Champagne Truffle.

Milk Chocolate - This is a matte milky chocolate brown.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? Buck from Naked 1, not exact as buck is slightly darker.

Black Forest Truffle - This one is a beautiful deep burgundy/brown shade with gold and fuchsia glittery flecks running through it, this shade totally represents and black forest truffle!
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Triple Fudge - This is a deep, dark and very rich matte brown. A lovely shade for your lash line!
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Strawberry Bon Bon - This one's a cool matte pale baby pink, I cant see myself getting much use out of this one as I'm not really one for pinks, I need to find a way of making this one work.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Candied Violet - This is a lovely unique one, its a deep violet colour with fuchsia and blue glitter flecks running through it.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Amaretto - This one is another favourite of mine, its a shimmery warm brown with a slight cherry red sheen to it ..hard to describe but its stunning!
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Cherry Cordial - This is a lovely burgundy shade with a slight hint of fuchsia glitter running through it, I found this one to have a rougher texture to the others in the pan but none the less its still just as beautiful.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Champagne Truffle - This is a sexy little highlight colour and i love it! perfect for the brow bone and inner corners, Champagne Truffle is a super velvety shimmery champagne colour it could also be used for a cheek highlight too..im glad this is one of the bigger sized shades in this palette as I always go through these ones first.
UD Naked Dupe Shade? None

Overall I completely adore this palette, I'm so chuffed I finally clicked buy as I know this is going to get a lot of use.
you can get so many eye looks from the wide shade selection, taking you from day to night, natural or sultry. Its so versatile and definitely worth considering if you like your neutrals.

  21. Aw I'm glad I could help! It's a pain the names are only on the overlay isn't it :(.. That's the only downside to this beaut of a palette. oh yeah those shades are stunning I wear marzipan all the time.. Ahh chime in anytime lovely it's nice to have you comment.. 22. It looks gorgeous and it does not help that everyone seem to love it. I personally don't own any naked palettes, because they are just too shimmery for my taste. So I am interested in other palettes like this one. My other option is Lorac pros which seem to be really good one, because the shades are not as shimmery and have good amount of mattes in it.
