June Favourite's

So here we have it guys, monthly favourite's time and the following products are what have been floating my boat in the month of June!

L-R Soap and Glory Kick Ass Brighten and Blur stick, Stila Convertible Colour - Lilium, Xen Tan - Absolute Luxe Dark Lotion, One Love Organics- Skin Saviour, Bumble and Bumble Straight Blow Dry, Beauty Blender.

Soap and Glory - Kick Ass Blur and Brighten Concealer-Light
£6 -Boots
I spotted this little jem while i was browsing the beauty shelves in boots, i didn't even know this existed to be honest, but as a S&G fan i knew i had to try it, and i wasn't disappointed! it comes in a twist up tube which then reveals the crayon type concealer stick, i have to say though i only use this to brighten my under eye area as i think its a little too brightening and creamy for spots, but none the less it works a treat by really brightening and covering any dark circles due to its slight yellow undertones..a total winner if you want to look fresh, awake and glowy (who doesn't? ha).

Top Swatch - applied heavily , Bottom Swatch blended.

Stila - Convertible Colour - Lilium
The Stila Convertible Colours are a cream formula and can be used for lips and cheeks, personally i use mine only on the cheeks as i find the colour a bit too odd on my lips.  Lilium is a beautiful mid-toned rose pink which has no glitter or shimmer it just leaves a gorgeous sheen to your cheeks, this is the only blush i seem to pick up in the mornings its just so versatile and gives a lovely natural - healthy flush to your face ..its just perfect! i can see myself repurchasing another, i also have my eye on the shade "Poppy".

As you can see I'm nearly all out of it, you can see the dreaded pan ;'(

Lilium Swatched without blending.

Xen Tan - Absolute Luxe Dark Lotion - Ultra Dark
£28.99 - Feel Unique
So i was actually a bit of an idiot and didn't shop around for this, and ended up paying *wince* £40 for this in Boots then later that day i found it on Feel Unique for £28.99...Gutted, but at least I'm saving my readers some money eh ;)..
I decided to get this a few months back as I've heard countless people raving about it, and I'm sure you have too! i bought it after one of those Stuff -it-and-lets-just-try-it  moments, i crossed my fingers the night i first tried and hoped that i wasn't going to wake up like a orange streaky mess...  i wasn't disappointed.
Its easy to apply, drys pretty fast, doesn't have a overly strong biscuit scent, gives a beautiful golden colour and fades evenly after a week..none of those weird patches in sight. Plus I'm awful at applying fake tan and that's why i never usually go near the stuff so this is fool proof  guys.
Just to throw this out there it says its "Ultra Dark" which scared me a little but when i leave it to develop overnight after exfoliating and all that jazz.. then wash off the next morning its the perfect shade, even my partner said it was the most natural looking tan he'd ever seen and he can be pretty blunt at times haha.

One Love Organics - Skin Saviour
Full size - £30 Via BirchBox
I was lucky enough to receive a sample size one of these in my BirchBox, it was love at first use. I use this as a step 2 cleanse in the mornings after my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish if i need more of a moisture hit!, its a solid balm that turns into an oil when applied to your skin it really leaves my skin baby soft and glowy, not to forget the amazing light orange scent it has ..perfect to wake up with in the mornings, i have been savouring this teeny pot and its nearly all gone but i can see myself getting the full size.

Bumble and Bumble - Straight Blow Dry
£23.50 - Look Fantastic
This product has helped my crazy frizzy hair no end recently, i can really tell when i have forgot to use this too, it just makes the chore of blow drying my hair straight so much easier (which i never thought was possible) , it smooths everything out and makes straightening a whole lot easier while giving my hair a nice soft and shiny finish,  it also saves me a lot of time and arm ache too...phew.

Beauty Blender
£26 - Via  BirchBox
Another thing i was lucky to receive in my BirchBox.. i had never applied foundation like this before and i couldn't imagine using anything but my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Since I've had this i now understand what the hype is, its so easy to use and makes your skin look air brushed, everything just blends in perfectly..I've even used it to blend in my cream blushes, its brilliant but i think if BirchBox didn't send me this i would never have tried it .. just because i don't think i would have spent that much on whats essentially a sponge, now i cant see myself using anything else to apply my foundation..I'm a beauty sponge convert.
What do you think of my monthly picks? Have you tried any of these? id love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks For Reading

Love Zoe x

  1. That Stila doo-dah is such a gorgeous colour - I'd love to try it but I'm a bit scared of cream blushes (how stupid is that?!) Ive been loving the Beauty Blender too and I'm thinking of doing a comparison with a similar one that I've used for ages which is a fraction of the price but really similar! Great post as always! Xx

    1. It is a beauty of a colour isn't it! No not stupid at all.. I was at first, now it's all I use. I find it's easier blending it in with the Real Techniques stippling brush or the beauty blender. Ooh can't wait to see your comparison post :), aw thanks lovely xx

  2. I love the beauty blender! Lovely favourites!
