Benefit Rockateur Blush Review

Recently I seem to have been getting more and more into Benefit makeup, this is probably the fault of my new local Benefit counter in Boots, they have just made all their products look so appealing and pretty the magpie in me just cant resist.
While looking at the ever-so-famous Benefit box blushes the lady that works there came to have a little chat with me about them, then offered to try some on me. She asked me if I had ever seen the Rockateur blush as its her favourite, I then explained that I had seen it about but it looked far to glittery for me, she said well lets give it a go I think you'll be surprised....and that I was!
As soon as I looked in the mirror after she applied it to my cheekbones it was love at first sight and I knew this bad boy had to be mine.
The shade and finish just instantly brightened up my face its seriously one beautiful blush.

Rockateur is a stunning rose gold blush with a slight silver overlay sprayed on it, that's the glitter that scared me off I take its just part of the whole pretty design. A few uses and the glitter is gone but even then the glitter doesn't come out on the cheeks.
I never knew this till now, but apparently its also the No1 selling blush in the UK, how amazing is that?!
I have to say I really dislike the design of the packaging with its gold snakeskin and lace detailing I think it looks a bit tacky if I'm being honest, the beauty of this definitely comes from within.
The box is like all their others, its made of sturdy cardboard and flips open to reveal a mirror a cute little flat brush (brilliant for contouring with) and then the blush (no way Zoe!), the blush has the word "Rock" embossed on it to go with the Rockateur theme and as I mentioned before a silver overlay for that extra jazz.
Not to mention how beautiful it smells, just like roses.. quite possibly to fit in with the rose gold colouring? ooh clever Benefit.

I seriously cant believe how lovely this is to apply, its buttery soft texture and colour makes it a dream, its not so pigmented you'll look like a clown with one swipe nor is it the kind of blush you have to keep building up to get any kind of colour, its just perfectly in-between,  its fast becoming my favourite in my huge blush collection.. that to me speaks volumes.

I think this shade would look amazing on pretty much all skin tones, and would be perfect for any type of season, well I would wear it all year round anyway, I love how it brightens up my face and gives it such a glow. The lasting power is brilliant I don't even need to re-apply throughout the day... I'm so happy I found you Rockateur!

This looks stunning on your skin tone! Really subtle glow. I love Benefit, they are such good quality but I do agree some of the packaging is tacky!
